Visit Sawgrass Nature Center & Wildlife Hospital to experience native wildlife, explore peaceful natural habitats, and learn about conservation through fun and educational experiences for all ages.
A licensed wildlife rehabber staffs our wildlife hospital and treats over 1200 native Florida animals annually. Hospital intake hours are Tuesday-Friday from 9:30am-4pm and Sat-Sun from 10am-2pm.
Visitors can explore outdoor exhibits housing non-releasable native wildlife in naturalistic habitats. The center also features an aviary, orchid garden, and apiary.
Our educational programs are tailored towards both adult community/corporate groups as well as students from pre-K through high school and can be conducted on-site, in classrooms, or virtually. They feature live animal presentations, specimens, and artifacts to teach about Florida's native wildlife and ecosystems.
The Nature Center is open later than the Wildlife Hospital. Once the hospital is closed animal intakes are NOT accepted until the following business day.
